Meet Rachel Hill – Bondville’s Owner & Accessibility Advocate

Dedicated to making the world more inclusive, one smile at a time.

Welcome! I’m Rachel Hill, owner of Bondville Model Village and a passionate accessibility advocate working to make the world — and especially public attractions — more inclusive, one smile at a time.

Whether you’ve visited our miniature wonderland in East Yorkshire or just found us online, thank you for being here. My story is one of lived experience, compassion, and a strong belief that everyone deserves access, understanding, and joy.

My mission as an accessibility advocate

Inclusion isn’t just a buzzword. It’s a mindset, and it’s deeply personal to me.

As an accessibility advocate, I work every day to promote:

  • Greater accessibility in tourism and public spaces

  • Understanding and support for people with special needs

  • Inclusion of neurodiverse voices in every space

At Bondville Model Village, we’re working toward becoming one of the most inclusive family attractions in Yorkshire. From wheelchair access improvements to sensory-friendly features, we want every visitor to feel truly welcome.

I’m also inspired by organisations like Scope UK, who are leading the way in accessibility equality across the country.

Inclusion isn’t a trend—it’s a mindset. Every person deserves to be seen, heard, and respected. I’m proud of my story, and I’d be honoured to share it with you.”

Why I speak about inclusion

You’ll often find me speaking at schools, businesses, and events throughout the UK about disability awareness, inclusive tourism, and creating environments where everyone feels safe and seen.

As an inclusion speaker, I share my own journey — a story of strength, surprises, and learning. I’ve spoken at places like Children’s Corner, where I talk about why inclusion is close to my heart and how we can take real action to make our communities better.

More Than a Title – A Personal Journey

My journey as an accessibility advocate didn’t begin on a stage — it began with my own life. I’ve navigated challenges, found strength, and committed myself to being a voice for others.

Today, I collaborate with local leaders, families, and accessibility partners to improve real-world inclusion, not only here at Bondville but throughout the region and the country.

Together, we’re showing that inclusivity isn’t a niche — it’s a necessity.
