Raising Motor Neurone Disease awareness at Bondville with New Marathon Scene
Bondville Model Village will remain closed to the public on Monday 24 June — as we always are on Mondays. But behind the scenes, something very special will be taking place.
In support of the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA), we are unveiling a brand-new scene inside the village. It features a miniature marathon finish line, created to help raise awareness of MND and those affected by it.
On that day, we’re honoured to welcome both the MNDA team and members of the local press to see the scene unveiled. From Tuesday 25 June, it will be on display to all visitors as part of the village experience — and will remain a feature throughout the 2025 season.
A Tiny Scene with a Big Message
Motor Neurone Disease is a life-shortening condition that affects the brain and nerves. The MNDA works tirelessly to support people living with MND and to fund vital research.
Here at Bondville, we wanted to show our support in the way we know best — by using miniature storytelling to raise awareness. The new marathon finish line is a small but powerful reminder of the endurance and strength shown by people with MND and their families.
If you’re visiting Bondville this season, we invite you to find the scene and take a moment to reflect. It’s a meaningful addition to our model village, and we’re proud to feature it throughout the year.
