In the heart of Bondville, just past the garden gate, stands a little stone church with a pointed steeple and a bell that never rings.
Most days, it’s very quiet there. But on this particular afternoon, something extraordinary was in the air.
The sunlight fell just right through the stained-glass windows. The doors, usually closed, were open. And inside, every pew was filled — tiny guests in tiny hats, whispering and watching.
At the front stood two villagers — hand in hand, hearts full — ready to promise each other a forever kind of love.
The bride wore a veil made from a lace handkerchief. The groom’s jacket looked freshly brushed. Someone had tied white ribbon around the gate, and a little sign on the back of a toy car read: Just Married.

And just like that, the wedding was over. The villagers returned to their cottages. The ribbons fluttered gently in the breeze. And Bondville, as always, carried on.
